[BRIEFING.COM] Stocks are showing signs of improvement at midday, with the Nasdaq Composite (-0.5%) bouncing off its worst levels as semiconductor stocks narrow their losses for the day.
The PHLX Semiconductor Index (-1.5%) has taken back a sizable chunk of its early retreat, helping the information technology sector (-0.4%) recover over half of its earlier loss. NVIDIA (NVDA 220.11, -0.67, -0.30%) and Intel (INTC 89.20, -0.31, -0.35%) are among the early laggards that now look to reclaim their flat lines.
