Tech and mega-cap strength drives broad market advance
Dow +217.48 at 51900.12, Nasdaq +438.22 at 26981.81, S&P +81.53 at 7732.03

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+1.0%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.6%), and DJIA (+0.4%) are firmly higher late in the morning, with technology and mega-cap stocks remaining at the forefront of the advance.

A pullback in oil prices and Treasury yields helped set a favorable tone at the open, with some easing in geopolitical concerns contributing to the move. WTI crude remains down 3.8% at $96.51 per barrel, while the 10-year note yield is four basis points lower at 4.96%

The information technology (+1.6%) and communication services (+3.2%) sectors are among the top performers, while the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) is up 1.3%. AI-related names continue to provide much of the market's leadership. Meta Platforms (META 712.82, +47.60, +7.16%) is a standout as investors respond positively to recent developments surrounding its AI efforts, while Intel (INTC 124.10, +15.50, +14.27%) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD 611.46, +51.64, +9.22%) are also among the top-performing S&P 500 components amid strength in semiconductor stocks.
