[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.1%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.5%), and DJIA (-0.3%) are little changed from their previous levels as the market enters the final hour of the session.
Semiconductor stocks are continuing to provide solid leadership, with the PHLX Semiconductor Index extending its week-to-date gain to 6%. The information technology sector (+3.0% week-to-date) and communication services sector (+3.2%) lead all S&P 500 sectors on a week-to-date basis, even with the communication services sector (-0.7%) giving back a portion of yesterday's rally. Meta Platforms (META 741.33, +0.08, +0.01%) and Alphabet (GOOG 348.99, -1.88, -0.53%) are both modestly little changed for the day, reflecting some consolidation in most mega-cap stocks outside of the technology sector.
