[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (flat) and Nasdaq Composite (flat) continue to oscillate around their flat lines, while the DJIA (-0.3%) remains modestly lower.

Costco (COST 898.43, -6.27, -0.69%) will wrap up this week's modest slate of earnings after the close, reporting Q4 results with much of the sales picture already known, including 11.3% net-sales growth and a 6.7% adjusted comparable-sales increase, shifting attention toward EPS conversion, membership growth, renewal rates, and core margins. Investors will also assess the quality of traffic and digital gains, the influence of elevated fuel sales, and management's commentary on FY27 warehouse expansion, tariff pressure, and capital allocation. Because most Q4 sales data have already been disclosed, the stock's reaction will likely depend more on profit quality, renewal trends, and management's FY27 commentary than on the headline revenue result.

The market will also stay closely attuned to any developments on the geopolitical front as concrete progress between the U.S. and Iran remains elusive. NBC News reported that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says he is willing to make a deal with the U.S. to end the war before the midterm election. There was no measurable reaction in the stock market to the headline, and crude oil continues to drift higher after its settlement.
