[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.6%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.6%), and DJIA (-0.5%) have spent the afternoon in a relatively tight range after some midday volatility.
Crude oil futures settled today's session $0.27 higher (+0.3%) at $92.44 per barrel, well off this morning's highs. The energy sector (+0.1%) has conceded much of its earlier gain as a result, but remains one of just three S&P 500 sectors that trade higher.
